Spring Mix 2010: Slake & Sing

At Very Long Last, Spring appears to be making an appearance. I have committed my winter coats to the closet, and leash in hand, head into the warming sun. Hope glimmers in every corner, winter an ambivalent memory.

Fall Mix 2009: Under the Rohirric Sun

Wistful autumn is very much upon us, and time seemed that I should make a mix to celebrate my favorite season. Heavily influenced by recent car rides constantly tuned to France's Nostalgia, the turning leaves of the chestnut trees and the daily evanescence of sunlight--winter's shadow creeping into frame--enjoy this mix with a hot cup of tea and a elegiac sigh.

Summer Mix 2009: I Should Have Been the One to Fill Your Dark Soul with Light

Somewhere back in the beginning of July, inspired by a certain confrère, I started work on a modest summer mix. After an afternoon's thesis procrastination, I had a rough set of songs. As much about what I had access to as it was about all the music I have lost over the course of multiple hard drive crashes, it was awkward and overly ambitious.

Now we are thoroughly steeped in August, and for some regions of the world, the hot days that inspired this mix may be numbered. After some editing and reassembly, these are the tracks that remain. There is still some tweaking to be done, but enough is enough. Enjoy: sweat the booze out in the dark of the crowd or lie as still as possible in the beneficence of a faithful fan.
