Somewhere back in the beginning of July, inspired by a certain confrère, I started work on a modest summer mix. After an afternoon's thesis procrastination, I had a rough set of songs. As much about what I had access to as it was about all the music I have lost over the course of multiple hard drive crashes, it was awkward and overly ambitious.Now we are thoroughly steeped in August, and for some regions of the world, the hot days that inspired this mix may be numbered. After some editing and reassembly, these are the tracks that remain. There is still some tweaking to be done, but enough is enough. Enjoy: sweat the booze out in the dark of the crowd or lie as still as possible in the beneficence of a faithful fan.
